Upvoty and Canny do the same core job, a portal where customers post and vote, a roadmap and a changelog, at very different prices.

  • Upvoty is one of the cheapest feedback boards: a flat $15 to $49 a month with unlimited tracked users, a custom domain and two-way Linear sync on every plan.
  • Canny is the longer-established platform, priced on tracked users from $79 a month, with a long integration list and AI that captures requests from calls and tickets.

The short answer:

  • Choose Upvoty if price matters and a board, roadmap and changelog are what you need.
  • Choose Canny if you want AI to capture feedback for you, or need integrations Upvoty doesn’t have, and your user base will stay modest.
  • Look at Feedovate if you’ve outgrown ranking by votes. We make it, so it’s covered last and briefly.

Every fact below comes from each tool’s own website, and every price was read off its pricing page on November 3, 2026.

What Upvoty is

Upvoty is a feedback board with public or private boards, tags, custom fields and moderation, a roadmap, and a changelog that notifies voters. Merge AI finds duplicates by meaning and can merge them automatically, with undo. Its user single sign-on can pass each customer’s plan and MRR, so you can filter feedback by them, and it has an MCP server.

What Canny is

Canny calls itself an “AI-powered customer feedback platform”. Beyond the portal, roadmap and changelog, Autopilot reads support conversations, sales calls and review sites, pulls out feature requests, merges duplicates and summarizes threads. Canny Ideas, added in 2026, groups what it finds into internal ideas before you publish them.

Pricing compared

Plan Price What it adds

Hyper $49/month Unlimited projects, SSO including SAML, API

Canny prices on tracked users: anyone who posts, votes or comments, plus people Autopilot logs. Free covers 25; Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly ($99 monthly) for 100 and rises with your count; Business is priced on request.

What a team actually pays:
