8 best Canny alternatives in 2026, compared
Canny's price climbs with every customer who votes. Eight alternatives priced on seats, boards or a flat plan, with real costs and trade-offs.

Canny is a good feedback board that gets expensive as it works: it charges by tracked users, so every customer who posts, votes or comments moves you toward a higher tier. Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly for 100 tracked users and reaches about $529 at 1,000.
If that’s why you’re looking, the short answer:
- To keep one flat price and rank requests by revenue: Feedovate.
- To run support and feedback in one tool: Featurebase.
- To spend as little as possible: Upvoty or FeedBear.
We make Feedovate, so it’s first on this list, and it has its own trade-offs below. Every other tool is described from its own website, and every price was read off its pricing page on the date shown.
The alternatives at a glance
| Tool | Best for | Priced on | Starts at | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feedovate | Ranking requests by revenue, flat price | Flat per plan | $39/month | No free plan, no in-app embed |
| Featurebase | Support and feedback in one suite | Per seat | $29/seat/month | Cost grows with every teammate |
| UserJot | Unlimited team members on a small budget | Flat per plan | $29/month | One integration on Starter |
| Frill | Surveys next to a feedback board | Flat per plan | $25/month | 50 ideas on the entry plan |
| Upvoty | The lowest price with a custom domain | Flat per plan | $15/month | No value and effort scoring listed |
| Nolt | One simple, clean board | Flat, by boards | $29/month, yearly | One board on Essential |
| FeedBear | One admin, one board, lowest price | Flat, by team members | $15/month, yearly | One team member on Lite |
| Productboard | Several PMs planning roadmaps | Per maker, 5 minimum | $295/month | Sold after a demo |
Why teams look for a Canny alternative
The price follows your customers, not your team. A tracked user is anyone who posts, votes or comments, including people whose feedback Canny’s Autopilot captures from support conversations and calls. A feedback board that works well pulls in more of them, and the plan climbs:
| Tracked users | Canny Pro, billed yearly | Feedovate Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $79/month | $79/month |
| 250 | $179/month | $79/month |
| 1,000 | $529/month | $79/month |
| 5,000 | $1,079/month | $79/month |
Canny’s figures are from its price slider as recorded in August 2026; our Canny pricing breakdown has the full curve. Go over your tier and Canny upgrades you automatically, unless you set a spend limit, in which case it stops tracking new users.
Teams feel this. Updown.io, a monitoring service, wrote in February 2026 that Canny’s tracked-user pricing would have moved it from the free plan to $311 a month, because everyone who ever gave feedback counts, closed requests included. It built its own board instead (its post).
Revenue context costs more. Canny says it ties feedback to the revenue behind it, but its CRM integrations and single sign-on are on Business, priced on request.
You don’t need everything it has. Canny has grown into an AI-assisted platform that captures feedback from calls and tickets. If you only need a portal, a roadmap and a changelog, a simpler tool costs less.
What to look for in a Canny alternative
- What the price scales on. Seats, boards and flat plans stay predictable; tracked users and monthly active users don’t.
- Prioritization beyond votes. Can you score value and effort, and see who’s asking and what they pay?
- Your issue tracker. If you work in Linear or Jira, check whether status syncs both ways or only one.
- Closing the loop. When something ships, does everyone who asked hear about it?
- The plan you’d actually need. Custom domain, SSO and integrations often sit one or two plans up.
- Moving your data. Check for an importer, or plan to start with only your open requests.
1. Feedovate
Feedovate is a customer feedback tool for SaaS teams. Customers post and vote on ideas in your portal, your team ranks requests by value, effort and the revenue of the customers asking, and a public roadmap and changelog close the loop. We build it, so weigh this entry with that in mind.
Best for: B2B SaaS teams that want to prioritize by revenue at a price that doesn’t follow their customers.
Standout features
- Unlimited end users on every plan. You pay for your team’s seats.
- Value and effort scores on every request, and on Pro the revenue and number of customers asking.
- Two-way Linear and Jira sync on Pro: move the issue and the request follows.
- A changelog that emails every customer who asked when their request ships.
- Requests from Slack and a REST API, and an MCP server so AI agents such as Claude Code or Cursor can work with your feedback.
- AI tagging, summaries and reply drafts on every plan, and duplicate detection that costs no credits.
Pricing: Starter is $39 a month (one workspace, 3 team seats, 1,000 AI credits). Pro is $79 a month (up to 3 workspaces with 10 seats each, 4,000 AI credits, revenue data, segments, Linear and Jira, custom domain). Two months free when you pay yearly. Your first workspace starts with 7 days of Pro, no card needed.
Trade-offs
- No free plan.
- Nothing to embed inside your app yet, and no live chat, surveys or bug reporting.
- No one-click importer yet. We help you move by email.
- A shorter integration list than older tools: Linear, Jira, Slack, an MCP server and a REST API.
Compared with Canny: the same job at a flat price, with revenue in the ranking on Pro rather than on a plan priced on request. Canny is ahead on integrations, a free plan and capturing feedback from calls and tickets. Feedovate vs Canny in detail.
2. Featurebase
Featurebase began as a feedback board and now leads with AI support: a help desk, live chat, a help center and an AI agent, with feedback boards, a roadmap and a changelog alongside.
Best for: Teams that want support and product feedback in one suite.
Standout features
- Feedback boards, a roadmap and a changelog, with requests sortable by revenue, impact, or value and effort.
- Feedback 2.0, released in September 2026, uses AI to group raw feedback into requests linked to insights.
- An AI agent that answers customers across channels, plus a help desk inbox and a help center.
- Surveys, product tours and in-app feedback collection.
- Linear and Jira links that bring status back, and Salesforce on Professional and up.
Pricing: A free plan for one seat and one board. Growth is $29, Professional $59 and Enterprise $99 per seat a month, billed yearly, with a 10-day trial and no card. On top: $0.49 per resolved AI conversation, and $69 a month to remove branding. From Featurebase’s pricing page and help center, checked November 3, 2026.
Trade-offs
- Per seat since December 2025, so the bill grows with your team.
- Usage is billed on top of seats: AI resolutions, outbound messages, translations and extra AI copilot capacity.
- SAML SSO and SCIM are Enterprise-only.
- Much of the product is support. A feedback-only team uses part of it.
Compared with Canny: Featurebase charges per seat instead of per tracked user, so a small team with many customers pays less, and a large team pays more. Canny vs Featurebase.
3. UserJot
UserJot pairs feedback boards, a roadmap and a changelog with newer support features: live chat and Juno, an AI support agent, both in beta.
Best for: Teams that want unlimited team members at a low flat price.
Standout features
- Boards, a roadmap that emails voters when a status changes, and a changelog linked to the requests it closes.
- A free plan with unlimited end users and posts, 2 boards and 3 team members.
- Importers for Canny and Nolt, plus CSV.
- An MCP server for coding agents.
- One script embeds chat, feedback, the roadmap and updates in your app.
Pricing: A free plan, then Starter at $29 and Professional at $59 a month, with 14 days free before the first charge. From UserJot’s pricing page, checked November 3, 2026.
Trade-offs
- Ranking is votes plus trending and stale flags, with no scoring or revenue weighting.
- One integration on Starter. Its pages name Slack, and don’t list Linear or Jira.
- SSO and removing branding are on Professional.
- Live chat and Juno are in beta, without a price yet.
Compared with Canny: a flat price with unlimited end users and unlimited team members, for teams that only need a portal, a roadmap and a changelog.
4. Frill
Frill is a flat-priced feedback tool with ideas, a roadmap, announcements and surveys, all of which can be embedded in your product.
Best for: Teams that want NPS and CSAT surveys next to their feedback board.
Standout features
- A prioritization matrix that plots ideas on benefit and cost, using your own factors, on every plan.
- Smart Merge for duplicates, and similar ideas suggested as people type.
- A roadmap per topic that emails voters when an idea ships, plus announcements.
- NPS, CSAT and poll surveys.
- An AI inbox in early access that pulls requests out of Slack, Jira and Linear, and an MCP server.
Pricing: Startup is $25, Business $49, Growth $149 and Enterprise $349 a month, with a 14-day trial and no card. Paid plans include unlimited admins and end users. From Frill’s pricing page, checked November 3, 2026.
Trade-offs
- Startup stops at 50 ideas and one survey of each type.
- Private boards and white labeling need Growth at $149, or an add-on.
- Revenue isn’t part of the ranking.
- Its integrations page doesn’t say whether Jira and Linear sync both ways.
Compared with Canny: a flat price with unlimited end users, plus surveys Canny doesn’t include. Canny has the longer integration list.
5. Upvoty
Upvoty is a low-cost feedback board with a roadmap and a changelog, and one of the few at its price with two-way Linear sync.
Best for: The lowest price with a custom domain and Linear sync.
Standout features
- Public or private boards with tags, custom fields and moderation.
- Merge AI finds duplicates by meaning and can merge them automatically, with undo.
- A roadmap, and a changelog that notifies voters.
- Two-way Linear status sync on every plan.
- User single sign-on that can pass each customer’s plan and MRR, so you can filter feedback by them.
Pricing: Power is $15, Super $25 and Hyper $49 a month, with 10% off yearly and a 14-day trial, no card. From Upvoty’s pricing page, checked November 3, 2026.
Trade-offs
- Ranking is votes and filters. No value and effort scoring is described.
- The changelog and full integrations start on Super; SAML SSO and the API on Hyper.
- One project on Power.
Compared with Canny: far cheaper at any number of users, with a custom domain on every plan. Upvoty vs Canny.
6. Nolt
Nolt is a clean, minimal feedback board with a roadmap and a changelog, priced by the number of boards.
Best for: Small teams that want one simple, clean board.
Standout features
- Boards with custom fields, duplicate merging and moderation.
- A Kanban view that turns feedback into tasks with assignees and deadlines.
- A roadmap, and a changelog that can publish completed items automatically.
- Single sign-on with your app’s login on every plan, and hosting in Europe or globally.
- Unlimited users, posts and admins on every plan.
Pricing: Essential is $29 and Pro $69 a month billed yearly ($39 and $89 monthly), and Enterprise is custom. A 10-day trial of Pro, no card. From Nolt’s pricing page, checked November 3, 2026.
Trade-offs
- One board on Essential, five on Pro, unlimited only on Enterprise.
- Jira and Linear need Pro.
- No scoring or revenue-based ranking is described.
Compared with Canny: a flat price by boards, with unlimited end users. Simpler and smaller in scope.
7. FeedBear
FeedBear is a simple, low-cost feedback board with a roadmap, a changelog and AI writing help.
Best for: One admin with one board, at the lowest price.
Standout features
- Unlimited boards from Startup, with voting, comments, merging and customer segments.
- A public roadmap that notifies people when a status changes.
- AI-written replies, comments and changelog posts from Lite.
- Custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript on every plan.
Pricing: Lite is $19 ($15 yearly), Startup $49 ($40), Business $99 ($82) and Enterprise $299 ($249) a month. A 14-day trial with no card and no automatic charge. From FeedBear’s pricing page, checked November 3, 2026.
Trade-offs
- Lite is one team member and one board, without a custom domain.
- Jira receives ideas as issues; no two-way sync or Linear is stated.
- SSO and branding removal start at Business.
- Ranking is votes, sorted by priority.
Compared with Canny: a flat price per project with unlimited end users, at a fraction of Canny’s cost for one admin.
8. Productboard
Productboard is a product management suite for teams of product managers: customer insights, a hierarchy from goals down to features, roadmaps and specs, and Spark, an AI agent.
Best for: Product orgs with several PMs planning roadmaps across teams.
Standout features
- A customer insights repository where feedback links to feature ideas, with importance scores and segment views.
- Spark writes voice-of-customer reports with citations, and drafts specs and release notes.
- Roadmaps, strategy and specs in one place.
- Up to two customer portals on Business.
- More than 25 integrations, an API and an MCP server.
Pricing: Business is $59 per maker a month billed yearly ($75 monthly), with five makers minimum, so $295 a month at least. Enterprise is priced on request. Both are sold after a demo. From Productboard’s pricing page and help center, checked October 29, 2026.
Trade-offs
- No free plan or trial on the pricing page. Business starts with a demo request.
- AI runs on credits, 500 per maker a month. When they run out, Spark pauses until renewal or a top-up.
- Jira and Azure DevOps are capped at five connections on Business. Salesforce, SAML SSO and audit logs are Enterprise-only.
- Linear isn’t on the pricing page’s integration list.
Compared with Canny: a bigger, pricier planning suite. Pick it when several product managers plan across teams, not to save money. Canny vs Productboard.
How to choose
| If you need… | Pick |
|---|---|
| A flat price and requests ranked by revenue | Feedovate |
| Help desk, live chat and feedback in one place | Featurebase |
| Many teammates on a small budget | UserJot |
| NPS and CSAT surveys beside your board | Frill |
| The lowest price with your own domain | Upvoty |
| One clean board and nothing else | Nolt |
| One admin and the smallest bill | FeedBear |
| Roadmaps across several product teams | Productboard |
| To stay with a small user base that won’t grow much | Canny |
When to stay with Canny
Canny is still a good choice if your user base is small and will stay small, if you want a long-established tool with a long integration list, or if you want AI to capture feedback from sales calls and support tickets for you.
Moving from Canny
- Export what matters. Most teams move open requests with their votes and comments, and leave the archive.
- Map your statuses. Match Canny’s statuses to the new tool’s before importing, so your public roadmap reads the same.
- Reconnect your tracker. Link Linear or Jira again, and check that status changes flow the way you expect.
- Tell your customers. Point your old board’s link to the new portal, and post a short note in your changelog.
